This address by Massachusetts Congressman was one of a host of eulogies pouring out of printing houses after Washington's death. Though it was issued in more than half a dozen printings in New York, Philadelphia, Dedham, and Boston it remains uncommon in commerce. This copy is one of two issued by Young & Minns in Boston and comports with both Evans 36829 and Stillwell, checklist of Washington eulogies 9(a).
