Lamb's narrative was originally printed in Battles & Leaders (1887-8) (see Dornbusch II, 737). University of Virginia identifies this present edition as "1890 ?", but it is certainly a 20th century publication. Our research suggests that Harriss Printing & Advertising was active under that name from 1912 to the early 1920s. One may speculate this edition was issued in 1914 around the semicentennial of the battle. Whatever the case, this is an extremely uncommon edition (and likely the first separately printed) of this interesting narrative of the North Carolina 2nd Artillery.
