An uncommon regional history written by the Virginia writer, librarian, and suffrage activist. Robins was a prominent Richmonder at the turn of the century and was a genealogical contributor to the Richmond newspaper. She was active in several societies and was a notable suffrage activist, being the vice-president of the Richmond chapter of the Equal Suffrage League of Virginia from 1916-1918. This present history was among the first pieces written upon her arrival in Richmond. Uncommon in commerce. Frances S. Pollard, "Sally Berkeley Nelson Robins (1855–1925)," Dictionary of Virginia Biography, Library of Virginia. Haynes 15871.
