As issued, in publisher's morocco-backed boards with morocco corners and gilt-stamped title label; all edge gilt; housed in publisher's slipcase. Minor blemish to gilt fore-edge; only light rubbing to the slipcase which has a faint remnant of a price label on both sides. A beautiful copy of this edition with lengthy introduction by Walters, signed frontispiece by Keith West, and facsimile of the London 1796 edition of Christian's letters printed for H. D. Symonds. Fairly uncommon in commerce.
