Harrisburg, PA: W. M. French | printed by Jones & Harvie, [1885]. Broadside. Item #8427

Broadside. 8" x 5.25." Printed in red and black in cream cardstock. Large engraving fills the recto with French's advertisements for their cigars around the border. Light wear only. Very good to near fine.

An interesting keepsake with a synopsis of Harris's tale, printed on the verso, describing a group of inebriated Native Americans kidnapping Harris because he wouldn't give them more rum. Harris's enslaved man, Hercules, brought aid from a neighboring tribe to save Harris just in the nick of time. And the two lived happily ever after. Take that for what it's worth.

Price: $75.00
