The recipient of L'Engle's inscription has put her name in pencil on the front free endpaper. Laid in is a single sheet of paper with ink notes related to the book on one side only; also a newspaper clipping about L'Engle's visit to Virginia Commonwealth University for a 2-day conference on children's literature.
