[cover title] CHICK-A-BIDDIES
Akron, OH: Kohler & Co., c. 1900. Soft Cover. near Very Good binding. Item #8157
12mo. [12] pp., illus. As issued, printed on felt and center sewn. Some pilling and rubbing to the covers, occasional crayoning to the contents but a fairly presentable copy of an uncommon felt book. While printed name of the illustrator is difficult to make out, what is visible comports with the illustrator of most if not all of Kohler's series—Carl Hurlbut. Each page depicts a different bird including Turkeys, Geese, Ducks, Guineas, Peafowl, Doves, Swan, Bantams, Pheasants, and an Ostrich. Printed in black, red, green, blue, yellow, and white. A charming and uncommon form of children's book.
Price: $150.00
