Recently backed in morocco with blue cloth over boards; gilt title and decorations on the spine; new endpaper; this copy is lacking the half title as well as the preface, text is complete. Binding is quite fresh and virtually without wear; spine is very slightly sunned; internally, quite clean but for one library stamp on the upper corner of page 7 by a now defunct library. Originally issued in 1797, this went into 19 different editions within a few years. Howes H-209.
