Some dampstaining to the bottom of the front boards at the spine, limited to some minor discoloration to the cloth; the contents are clean ad bright; a solid copy in very nice condition but for this limited flaw. Originally issued in 1831, this new edition includes a biographical sketch by Draper. "The author took much pains to be authentic, and his chronicles are considered by Western antiquarians, to form the best collection of frontier life and Indian warfare, that has been printed."
