Octavo. 41 pp., frontis, ports. First edition, In publisher's cloth. Covers are sunned and a bit soiled; some light and occasional spotting, but largely clean. This copy bears a gift inscription to and is from the library of Eppa Hunton IV, grandson of the Confederate General and U.S. Senator with the same name. An interesting reply to a response against an article Lyon Tyler wrote with criticism of Lincoln. A shorter version of this reply was published in Time, but given the limitations of space offered, Tyler expanded his reply and published it in this larger form. Haynes 18900.
