Spine sunned and binding is a trifle stained and generally edgeworn; contents are clean; dust jacket a bit worn and soiled with a chip at the head of the spine; the spine ends and flap-folds have been reinforced with tape from the back; it presents fairly well despite all this; price has been clipped. Granddaughter of Unitarian minister Edward Everett Hale and daughter of American artist Philip Leslie Hale, Nancy Hale was was active from the 1930s to the 1980s and a frequent recipient of the the O. Henry Award for her short stories.
