A second volume of the Revised Code was issued in Samuel Pleasants in 1808. Binding is worn with chipping at the head of the spine; joints starting; contemporary owner notes marked through on the front endpapers. Textblock remains solid; pages generally darkened. Interesting look into early Virginia law from, according to Shaw & Shoemaker, 1748-1802 with substantive material from laws governing militias to laws about slavery and free blacks.
