LA PHYSIQUE EXPLIQUEE EN TABLES PAR LOUIS DE LESCLACHE. Avec privil. du roy. P. Richer
[Paris]: c. 1652. Full Leather. Good binding. Item #5362
Small quarto. Engraved title page and 26 engraved plates, constituting "De l'Utilite de la Physique." Bound in contemporary calf; chipping at the spine ends; corners worn; some desiccation to the covers, nevertheless, binding is solid. Contemporary owner name and date, "1653" on a preliminary blank. Additional owner stamp on the back of the first folded plate. Engravings are remarkably bright. This is the third volume (and complete as such) of a 5 volume work, La Philosophie Expliquee en Tables (1651-1652) in which Leschlache organizes all branches of knowledge and are complete within themselves. An interesting if curious undertaking. Brunet, III, col. 1011.
