Octavo. [1], 144 pp. First Edition. As issued in green cloth with vignette title on the front cover. Binding is heavily worn and textblock is shaken; frontispiece portrait is present, but somewhat stained; only one of the two maps is present, a large folding map--“Map of Six Hundred Miles Around the Jordan Rockbridge Alum Springs”; closed tear to one fold line, but otherwise in nice shape and backed by a large ad. Gift inscription on the front endpaper identifying this as given to W. C. Thomas of Richmond, VA from Ed Hotchkiss in 1880; additional modern bookplate of William Charles King.
