Blue cloth binding; spine stamped in gold; corners and spine ends worn, particularly the head of the spine where there is some chipping to the cloth; binding has a slight forward lean and is somewhat shaken. An interesting copy inscribed by Le Gallienne to “sister Lena” (Lady Lena Hamilton) who in turn gifted the volume to Kathleen Pickhardt (later Kathleen Pickhardt Austin after her marriage to Carl Chrysler Austin in 1933). This provenance is laid out on the first blank leaf; additional bookplate on the front pastedown.
