Interestingly, the verso of the jacket is the printed jacket for another Bodley Head title: Marjorie Bowen's, “The Scandal of Sophie Dawes.” This is likely a very nice example of the lengths thrifty or perhaps desperate printers went to given the wartime paper shortages.
