Octavo. 72 pp., plates, illus. First edition. As issued, in cloth over flexible covers. Covers are dampstained with front pastedown starting to pull away from the board; binding is a trifle loose; contents are generally clean except for a previous owner name and address on the copyright page.
A very early manual with 30 illustrations including facsimiles, plans, and photographs. Some of these are in-text, some are full page plates that are part of the pagination, and several are folding diagrams and plans; at least one of these is detached by laid in. The book has been collated and while there is no list of plates, there are no gaps in the numbering of "fig.1" through "fig. 30." While a facsimile of this was issued by Aviation Book Company, original editions are fairly uncommon.
