The copies of this were stamp-numbered, this copy being 16415. Despite a sizable print run, it remains scarce in commerce and even institutionally uncommon with less than two dozen copies held according to OCLC. While the manual is undated, we posit a 1917-1918 publication as after this year the Air Service division of the U.S. Army oversaw military aviation, making the Signal Corps imprint far less likely. Profusely illustrated.
