Light rubbing to the extremities; spine a bit dulled; contents are generally clean. publisher's printed form on the front pastedown with manuscript note that this was received "The Surgeon" in Walker, Cass Co., Minnesota, Nov. 24, 1898. Walker, MN appears to have been a temporary deployment center in the autumn of 1898 before the Battle of Sugar Point. The Minnesota National Guard remained a temporary presence afterward.
