Housed in slipcase with chemise. Though without indication, this copy from the library of Gary Gallagher. Additional previous owner name on the front wrapper is that of North Carolina clergyman, author, and literary critic Theodore Bryant Kingsbury.

A remarkable publication containing articles, many of which are original contributions for this issue. Contributors include J. William Jones, Gen. Robert D. Johnston, Gen. James Henry Lane, Major Henry A. London, Dr. Charles E. Taylor (Signal Corps), Pro. John F. Lanneau, Gen. W. R. Cox, Pvt. John C. Scarborough (Co. 1, 1st North Carolina) with an excellent account of the retreat and the surrender, Major James H. Foote, Captain Miles O. Sherrill, Gen. William P. Roberts, Prof. Alexander L. Nelson, Prof. Milton W. Humphreys, “W.” on a student's recollections of Lee, Dr. Charles A. Graves, Willis B. Smith, a former student at Washington & Lee, Rev. T. J. Taylor on the grave of Anne Carter Lee, Julian S. Carr, and a tribute from Field Marshall Wolseley. Remarkably scarce both in commerce and in institutional holdings. Only one institutions reporting ownership according to OCLC, that being the Huntington.
