The plate was constructed with recycled materials including sewing fabric, paper from past project, and thread, all of which come together to create a remarkably striking image—the starting point of which references a topographic map of Philadelphia. Those familiar with the Philadelphia city map will recognize its contours. While all 8 copies are printed from the same plate, the nature of the plate and the chine collé mean that none are identical, in fact there is quite a range within the edition. Of this project, the artist notes writes that it is "[p]art of a growing body of work delving into the increasingly tenuous link between the physical crafting of an object and its destination."
