Binding is rubbed with some staining; a couple of contemporary manuscript notes in ink on the front cover; additional notes in ink and pencil on the front pastedown; contemporary owner names of D. McClure (dated 1832) and William McAlister (who notes he purchased it from McClure in 1834 for $1.00. McAlister's name is penned on the fore-edge of the textblock; the blank leaf behind the flyleaf bears the name James McAlister (dated march 28, 1864)--presumably a son? Moderate to heavy foxing throughout. Uncommon. American Imprints 38608.
